My Portfolio

My INFJ personality perfectly blends being a fly on the wall and knowing when to gently step in to direct photos. I’d much rather you have photos of how it felt – more of the people, less of the stuff. View my Wedding Portfolio / Engagement Sessions / Journal.

Do you travel?

I am a Midwest Wedding Photographer based in Saint Louis, Missouri and travel to where my couples are – NYC, KCMO, CA, you name it. A small travel fee might apply to cover my flight / lodging. And I make up for it with extra coverage on your wedding day.

How many images will we receive?

You can expect 600 – 900 carefully edited images from your wedding day.

When / How will we receive the images?

You will receive your final images in a custom gallery 8 weeks after your wedding. Your gallery will be online until your first anniversary. Check out my custom designed Fine Art Books.

What is your favorite part of a wedding day?

The joy and commotion immediately after the couple is married and their family and friends rush up to hug them. Let’s wait at least 10 minutes before starting family photos after the ceremony ends so you can experience this moment without feeling like you’re on a forced schedule.

What would you like to change about weddings today?

Spend less time getting ready or fussing over a large wedding party and spend more time with your parents, family, and friends during the actual wedding. And lastly, just once I want to show up when the guests do and document the day as they experienced it, with no forced involvement from me. That would be a dream!

What is a first look / should we do one?

A first look is when you see each other prior to the ceremony. They used to be non-traditional but now are quite expected. This is totally your decision to make. You don’t even have to have a formal or planned first look. Or you can have one but not need it to be staged. You could also get ready together too. Feel free to make your own rules and do what feels best for you. If you don’t do a first look, we’ll just need to plan ahead in your timeline and keep in mind when sunset is. Happy to discuss this more.

Do you always have a second shooter?

Small, intimate weddings with around 125 guests I prefer to photograph alone. But I do require one for larger weddings or if you need me to be in two places at the same time.

What happens if you are sick?

This was a concern even before COVID but it’s even more of a priority now. I am part of multiple wedding photographer networks both in St. Louis, the midwest, and nationally that share a similar style and philosophy. I know that someone from this big community of artists would step in if this happened. While it’s never happened, it’s something I’ve always planned for just in case.

Do you have backup gear / insurance?

I sure do and I have back up for my backup. I am kind of paranoid like that. All of my gear is insured and if your venue requires a Certificate of Insurance I can easily provide one. Just give me heads up a couple months before the wedding.

What are the next steps to book you?

Inquire now. In an effort to be intentional with my time / energy while in this season of parenting, I book only a limited number of weddings a year. For this reason I book on a first come, first serve basis. Until both the signed contract and 50% retainer are received, I do continue accepting inquiries for your date. Once both are received, I am all yours.
