This was one of those magical weddings that brought people together to gather and share a meal like only Brooklyn can. It was a multi-course fine dining experience prepared directly in the same room as the guests while they enjoyed their meal. During the speeches, the chefs were quietly working away in the corner of the room preparing the next amazing dish. It smelled delicious, there was laughter, candlelight, and a genuine feeling of celebration and cheer.

A word of advice for any couple reading this that is thinking about getting married…please know that you can plan your day however you want. If you don’t want photos of you getting dressed or doing your makeup, you don’t have to! Abbi and Wes didn’t want any getting ready photos, and I was happy to oblige and photograph the venue prep while I waited for them. And it set the day off on a great tone – I felt like I was able to truly document the wedding as it was without having to stage anything.
