I was a bride before I was a wedding photographer, so I know that feeling. You are wondering how someone can possibly capture the most important day of your lives just as it was. And most of all, you want the photos to feel hip and tell an authentic story without the traditional cheese that gives wedding photography a bad rap.
A little more about me. I met my husband 11 years ago in art history class and we’ve been inseparable ever since. After 7 amazing years living in teeny apartments in Brooklyn, we made the move back to our hometown of Saint Louis to start a family. Our little Dorothy [Dot!] arrived right on time on her due date and is a hilarious, giggly addition to our little family. Being a mom has made me appreciate photography even more since I especially know how fleeting time is and how important it is to have visual memories of those you love dearly.
I know it’s a big decision you’re making, since these photos will become your lasting memories from the day. And I also know that I am not the perfect photographer for everyone. So the more details you can share with me when you first reach out, the better. I’d love to know how you found me, what you’re looking for in a photographer, and more importantly, what makes your wedding day unique to you as a couple.
